Zoljargal, a curious and intelligent young lady from Ulanbaataar, Mongolia has been in Singapore for about 19 months already. An ACCA student in her final year, she aspires to work in the finance industry back home in Mongolia after graduation.

If she’s walking down the street one day and comes across a weird contraption with dials and knobs all over and discovers that it’s a functioning time-machine with enough battery for only one round trip she’d go back to Ulanbaataar in 1985.

“There is a big difference in population in Mongolia in the 1980s as compared to now, the population was only half the size, (right now it’s about 3 Million) and it was run by a Socialist Government so there was no such thing as the rich or poor, almost everyone was equal. More importantly, I would want to meet my parents who would, during that time, still be in their 20’s and see how life was like for them back then. The food was also supposedly better as the cooking was more Russian-style. There were very few buildings with plenty of open spaces which made it very relaxing.”

She also finds it a little annoying that many people don’t realize that Mongolia is a country on its own.

“Inner Mongolia is a province in China but there is also Outer Mongolia which is very different. When I meet Singaporeans and tell them I’m from Mongolia, 8 out of 10 of them will say, “Oh, is that in China?”. It’s very annoying, Mongolia is Mongolia and China is China!”

He is currently in his Higher Diploma year.

Besides Hockey, he’s also an avid Parkour Enthusiast who used to haunt the streets with his friends with gravity-defying stunts. Though not as active these days, he still finds a way to manage his time and this is something that Frederick is proud of.

Frederick also intends to travel the World and explore new cultures and lead a life of adventure, something that would allow him to better understand this World.
